RENEWABLE ENERGY A-Z
Training is the key to any future development. For this reason we organize a different range of courses, which can benefit both schools, private people and professionals.
The courses all circle around renewable energy technologies and can be more or less complicated in terms of theory and practice; that depends on the participants. Same as the time of the course; it can be planned from 2 days to 2 weeks.
The courses are adjustable according to your wishes and interests, though some courses follow a syllabus.
A-Z
Get the whole alphabet – an all around learning experience. Learn the history of renewable energy, experiment with the aerodynamics of wind turbine blades (paper and wood), get the solar panels to make the train go chu chu etc. We’ll plan the course according to your wishes.
WIND COURSE
Want to be blown away?
We have different kinds of wind courses with a variety of lengths.
Build your own wind turbine, get the theory and test it or experience the history of wind in Denmark at our Wind Museum.
ENERGY STORAGE
Nordic Folkecenter has several energy storage installations on site, where you can see, touch, follow and understand the cabling, as well as possibly the software setup.
The installations includes solar panels, wind turbines, batteries, battery chargers, inverters etc.
SUN GENERATOR
This course is for people with some kind of knowledge in building electronics. The outcome of the course is that you are capable of using the energy produced by solar PV panels directly, without a battery or connection to the electrical grid.
LED LIGHTS
Let’s light up the world.
An introductory course on LED technology, from design to implementation. With this course you get the knowledge and theory needed to develop a cheap and reliable illumination system that can be powered by a small power-bank.
ERASMUS+
We consider the Erasmus+ program as a very good tool for students to combine their need of learning technical notions with their will to discover new cultures. For this reason, every year we host both individual students and whole classes and we teach them the importance of renewable energy.
FIELD TRIPS
Nordic Folkecenter is located in an area known as “the Green Circle”, where a large majority of commercial renewable energy installations can be visited. From different types of district heating to the largest wind turbines in the world, passing through hydrogen installations and geothermal technology etc. and it can be reached quite quickly.
SDG
Sustainable Development Goals is a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.” But how do you work with the 17 SDGs in practice? And how can they bring value into your organization/company? That’s some of the questions you can get the answers to, if you book a SDG workshop.
