Energy Cluster Denmark: annual meeting and general assembly

On 2 May, Gitte Davidsen participated in Energy Cluster Denmark’s general assembly and annual meeting 2024 in Copenhagen.

Energy Cluster Denmark is Denmark’s cluster organization and innovation platform for the entire energy sector. Energy Cluster Denmark helps to facilitate and fundraise innovation projects and other innovation activities that always involve partnerships between small and medium-sized companies, market-leading companies and leading research and knowledge institutions.
Energy Cluster Denmark has approx. 500 members among companies and knowledge institutions. In total, there is a portfolio of exciting innovation projects of over DKK 3 billion. DKK

Among others at the annual meeting was Lars Aagaard, Minister for Climate, Energy and Supply, who gave an update on Denmark’s energy policy.

The afternoon’s program offered workshops within Energy Efficiency, Energy Production, Energy Storage, Sector Coupling and Infrastructure.

The Innovation Project of the Year in Energy Cluster Denmark 2024 went to the underwater robot ACOMAR, which was created by partners across the energy sector. The ACOMAR robot can save the offshore industry millions of kroner. ACOMAR can remove mussels and other marine fouling from constructions offshore, which saves both time and money, reduces the environmental impact and reduces risks.
