Daniele Pagani from Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy discussed the importance of investing in renewables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One Renewable Source Gives Denmark Half Its Energy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy aims for a world that runs on 100 percent renewable energy, offering training programs about renewables to people from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Daniele explained that one of the biggest misconceptions people have is that renewables are a cool idea for the future but not a practical one right now. In reality, they are a solution that\u2019s already working in many countries. Denmark, for example, gets over half of its electricity from renewables power (51% covered by wind and solar in 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another aspect of education is showing people that renewables can benefit them directly in a way fossil fuels don\u2019t. Renewable energy installations can be built cooperatively where locals can own shares and influence development.
