Education is one of our focus points since the fundation. We believe that there are no more technological bariers for a society powered by renewables, but we are also aware that there is a massive need of education.

Renewable Energy Introduction Course
DESCRIPTION: The course is meant for those who are interested in getting a basic education within the fields of renewable energy. The REIC lasts one week and takes the participants through the main renewable energy technologies, the history and the social aspects to them related. The participants will get a knowledge on the topic which will be sufficient to understand more complex concepts. The REIC is the first step to achieve a renewable energy education in Folkecenter. Wind Energy: Level 1
DESCRIPTION: The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to work in the wind industry. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of wind technology, equivalent to what provided by the REIC. The course will include theoretical training, practical experience and excursions to relevant installations and it is meant to be the first of three steps to master wind technology.

Solar Energy: Level 1
DESCRIPTION: The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to work in the solar industry. The course will include theoretical training, practical experience and excursions to relevant installations and it is meant to be the first of three steps to master solar technology.

Workshop: Build your own Sun Generator
DESCRIPTION: The workshop runs over two days and it teaches the participants how to build a Sun Generator. The participants will learn the basic theory behind the Sun Generator, how to solder electronic components and they will construct their own unit, which they will be allowed to bring home at the end of the workshop. Workshop: Build your own Transformer
DESCRIPTION: The workshop last one day and it teaches the participants how to build a transformer. The participants will learn the basic theory behind transformers, their function and they will construct their own unit, which they will be allowed to bring home at the end of the workshop.

Sun Generator: Instructor
DESCRIPTION: The aim of the course is to provide a full understanding of the operating principle of the Sun Generator and to obtain a high level of knowledge on the device which will allow participants to become certified Sun Generator instructors. The title obtained will allow them to run courses on how to construct the Sun Generator, but also to develop their business ideas out of the device. A solid practical and theoretical knowledge on building electronics is required. Alternatively, participants who do not meet the pre-requisites but still want to get certified have the chance to attend the Sun Generator: Preparation course, which will bring them to the needed level of knowledge.
